Two years ago i had the opportunity to realize a Master Course in
Milano, Italia. There I met some incredibly talented and interesting
designers. Today I have the possibility to introduce you to the
beautiful work of one of them...
She is Mika Barr! Is a
fresh textile and print designer based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Working from
her studio, she creates unique textiles, in various printing
techniques.
Mika likes to work with matter, with her hands, and she welcomes mistakes and surprises that lead sometimes to revelations during her research. Her inspiration derives from nature, from the city, and from different structures natural and man made.
These days Mika continues to develop her 3d folding fabrics, a theme that evolved during her studies in college and has become a prime part in her work. She works in collaboration with companies and designers, and can provide her special designs and fabrics in small or large quantity, also custom made - according to the company's needs.
